The terms that accompany your trip planning and booking with Explore Egypt.
These General Terms and Conditions transparently explain how inquiries, bookings, payments, changes and travel with Explore Egypt are handled.
These conditions apply to travel services, excursions, transfers, Nile cruises and individually assembled travel components that Explore Egypt offers or mediates. The specific service description, the written offer and the booking confirmation together with these conditions form the booking agreement.
If your individual offer contains more specific provisions, especially regarding payment, changes or cancellation, those provisions shall take precedence for the respective booking.
An inquiry is non-binding and serves for planning. A booking is only concluded when Explore Egypt confirms the selected services in writing and a deposit required in the offer has been received on time.
The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old.
They are responsible for submitting complete and accurate information for all accompanying persons.
Names must match the travel documents used.
Special requirements should be communicated before confirmation.
Prices on the website are starting or guideline prices unless explicitly stated as binding. The final price depends, among other things, on travel date, number of participants, accommodation, transport, availability and chosen additional services.
Only the inclusions and exclusions listed in your confirmed offer are decisive. Personal expenses, international flights, visas, insurance and optional activities are included only if expressly stated.
Your offer specifies deposit, final payment, currency, due dates and accepted payment methods. Payments may only be made via the payment channels communicated by Explore Egypt.
Bank, card or transfer fees will, if applicable, be disclosed before payment. If an agreed payment is not made on time, reserved services may be released after prior notification.
Travelers are responsible for possessing valid passports, visas, permits and other documents required for the trip. Entry requirements vary by nationality and may change at short notice.
Explore Egypt can provide general guidance. However, current and binding requirements must be checked in good time with embassies, consulates or other competent authorities.
Please inform us before booking of mobility needs, health restrictions, allergies, dietary requirements or other necessary assistance. We will endeavor to find suitable solutions but cannot provide medical advice and cannot offer every service in an accessible manner.
Special requests are only binding if confirmed in writing. Additional costs may apply.
Change requests regarding names, dates, accommodation or travel services must be communicated in writing as early as possible. We will check feasibility and inform you of price differences and supplier fees before making changes.
Flight, rail, cruise or other tickets may be non-transferable, non-changeable or non-refundable after issuance.
Cancellations must be made in writing. Any refund depends on the time of receipt, the cancellation schedule confirmed in the offer and the costs already irrevocably booked with hotels, airlines, ships, guides and other suppliers.
Unused services during the trip are generally not refunded unless the non-use is attributable to Explore Egypt or mandatory law provides otherwise.
Itineraries may change for operational, weather-related, security or official reasons. This also includes natural events, health situations, strikes, unrest and significant transport disruptions that are beyond our reasonable control.
We provide reasonable assistance and, where available, offer an equivalent alternative. Refunds and additional costs depend on the specific booking, mandatory law and the terms of the affected suppliers.
Travelers must arrive on time at the confirmed meeting point or departure terminal.
In case of delay or cancellation, contact Explore Egypt before independently booking a replacement, so coordination with the supplier remains possible.
Baggage limits are set by the respective transport provider; excess baggage must be paid for by the traveler unless the offer states otherwise.
Passports, medication, money and valuables remain the personal responsibility of the travelers during the trip.
Accommodation categories, room types, ships, vehicles and individual suppliers are subject to availability. If a specifically named service fails, a reasonable alternative of comparable standard may be offered.
Explore Egypt is liable for its own obligations under applicable law. For unavoidable actions of independent suppliers, their transport, accommodation or usage conditions apply in addition, to the extent they have been validly incorporated.
We strongly recommend taking out adequate travel insurance from the time of booking. It should in particular cover cancellation, trip interruption, medical treatment, repatriation, baggage, delays and the planned activities.
Explore Egypt is not an insurer. Claims must be made directly under the terms of the chosen insurance.
Travelers must follow local laws, safety instructions and reasonable guidance from guides and suppliers. A service may be terminated without refund if behavior endangers safety, significantly disturbs others or damages property.
The person who causes damage intentionally or negligently is responsible under applicable law.
A problem should be reported immediately to the guide, supplier or Explore Egypt contact so that remedies can be attempted during the trip. If unresolved, send us a written summary with relevant evidence afterwards.
